Police offering reward for information on deadly hit and run | Crime

On February 20, 2012, at approximately 7:19 PM a Fatal Automobile/Pedestrian Hit and Run collision occurred near the intersection of W. Colfax Ave and N. Sheridan Blvd. The pedestrian was crossing the street in the 1500 block of N. Sheridan Blvd and was struck by the Hit and Run vehicle which was traveling northbound on N. Sheridan Blvd. The suspect vehicle fled the area northbound on N. Sheridan Blvd. from W. Colfax Ave. The vehicle pictured below is what investigators believe to be of similar make and model to the suspect vehicle.  The suspect vehicle is described as an older model white GMC passenger van and sustained damage to the front end as a result of this collision.  Parts of the front grill assembly including the GMC logo will be missing from the front of the Hit and Run vehicle.
