About Us

What We Do

Offer In Compromise – Do you qualify to settle for less than you owe?  We can help make that determination.  Nationwide, according to the IRS, only 14 percent of submitted Offers in Compromise are accepted.  This, of course, means large dollar amounts often paid up front to tax help representatives are wasted.  The majority of OIC’s submitted by our office are accepted.  Ask to see successful settlements made by our office.

Tax Preparation – Non Filer?  Missing income records, W-2s, 1099s?  We can obtain missing records in order to prepare your delinquent taxes. – see fee schedule

Enforced Collection – Levy on Wages?  Bank Account?  We can usually get levies released the first day we meet.

Representation

Mr. Richard J. Banta

A key factor in properly resolving any tax payer dispute before the IRS is to have effective representation by a skilled and knowledgeable professional.  We are pleased to have working with us attorney Richard J. Banta. Mr. Banta is a 1972 honors graduate of the George Washington University Law School.  He has been in private practice for over 25 years practicing both civil and criminal law.  He has worked and consulted with R.J. Reeves, managing member of Denver Tax Office for over 20 years.  They originally met when Mr. Reeves was working as a Revenue Officer for the IRS and Mr. Banta was representing a tax payer with serious tax issues.  Working professionally but on opposite sides of the dispute,  Mr. Reeves and Mr. Banta successfully resolved that dispute to the satisfaction of both the IRS and the tax payer.

When Mr. Reeves left the IRS to form his own consulting and tax dispute resolution business, he contacted Mr. Banta to represent his new tax clients.  They have had a professional relationship since 1986. Mr. Banta works on behalf of the tax payer to prevent or eliminate liens, levys on bank accounts and wages, and other seizure and enforced collection activities by the IRS.  In most instances, Mr. Banta eliminates the need for the tax payer to ever have to meet or speak directly with the IRS. In addition, in those instances where potential criminal charges are a possibility because of unfilled tax returns, Mr. Banta with his thorough knowledge of both state and federal criminal law is able to resolve those charges with minimal harm and inconvenience to the tax payer.
